The Barnabas Ministry pairs up an adult and a student during the school year wherein the adult Barnabas prays for the student on a daily basis. The Barnabas writes notes of encouragement every month (or more), and is eager to pray for their student’s special needs. There are also occasions for small gifts such as birthdays, holidays and graduations. We have been blessed by requests for prayer from parents to their children's Barnabas and relay such requests immediately. Some pairings have resulted in long term friendships. It definitely bridges any generation gap and draws our youth and adults closer. We have also had witnesses from high school graduates talking about how much it meant to them to know someone was praying for them daily. Susie Kimmel and Carol Galagan are coordinators.
