The Anglican Diocese of San Joaquin and the ACNA
Archbishop Robert Duncan |
On December 8th, 2007 at its annual convention, the Diocese of San Joaquin took an historic step as the first whole diocese to disassociate from The Episcopal Church by and overwhelming vote. The convention also accepted an invitation from Archbishop Gregory Venables and the bishops of the Province of the Southern Cone of South America to be welcomed into their membership. In July 2009, the ACNA held its Inaugural Meeting in Bedford TX and created our new province in North America. While we continue to hold a partnership with the Southern Cone, our principal relationship is with the ACNA. We are proud that our congregations serve a world-mix of races and ethnicities, striving to be true to the Good News of Jesus Christ, and to His mission, especially as defined in the catechism of the Book of Common Prayer. Our Diocesan office is located in Fresno,
